Summary

We aim to create a dense urban forest using the Miyawaki technique, a scientifically proven method that helps native trees grow 10 times faster, 30 times denser, and 100 times more biodiverse than conventional plantations.
This forest will restore degraded urban land, improve air quality, reduce heat, conserve biodiversity, and create a healthy green space for the community within just a few years.
Funds will support soil preparation, plantation of native species, and maintenance during the critical early growth period.
Our goal is to transform unused land into a self-sustaining green ecosystem that benefits both people and the planet.

About the Cause

Rapid urbanization has left our cities with shrinking green spaces, rising temperatures, and deteriorating air quality. Through this initiative, we aim to convert unused or degraded urban land into a thriving, dense urban forest using the Miyawaki Technique—a scientifically proven method of afforestation that mimics natural forests.

This approach allows native tree species to grow 10 times faster, 30 times denser, and become up to 100 times more biodiverse compared to conventional plantations, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem within just a few years.

🌳 What Is the Miyawaki Technique?

The Miyawaki method focuses on:

  • Plantation of native and indigenous tree species

  • High-density planting to promote natural competition and growth

  • Soil enrichment to support rapid root development

  • Minimal human intervention after the initial growth phase

Within 2–3 years, the forest becomes resilient, low-maintenance, and capable of regenerating on its own.

💚 Why This Urban Forest Matters

This project will:

  •  Improve air quality by absorbing pollutants and increasing oxygen levels

  •  Reduce urban heat and help combat climate change

  • Restore biodiversity by supporting birds, insects, and small wildlife

  • Reclaim degraded land and convert it into a healthy green ecosystem

  • Create a peaceful green space for the local community
