The name Abhyutthanam is been derived from the shloka of Bhagavad Gita, “Yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata abhyutthanamdharmasya tadatmanam srjamyaham” which means “Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, and a predominant rise of irreligion O descendant of Bharata at that time I (Lord Krishna) descend Myself.
